How to Fix Bose Soundbar Not Working with Samsung TV

Reset 

Sometimes Bose Soundbar does not work with Samsung TV or has sound quality problems. In these issues, you need firstly reset your Bose Soundbar.

Resetting removes all minor issues with the Bose soundbar and the soundbar will go back to the factory default. 

Here is how to reset your Bose Soundbar. 

  1. Pick up the Bose Soundbar remote then, press the Sound Touch button on the remote. 
  2. Now press and hold the Play button and Volume down button for 15 seconds at the same time. The indicator of Your Bose Soundbar will show all lights flashing which means your Bose soundbar will reset. 
  3. Then the Bose Soundbar will reboot.

After resetting all the problems will resolve your Bose soundbar. And all previous data will be deleted and your Bose soundbar back to the factory default.

Check cables 

There are three types of cables that connect the Bose soundbar and Samsung TV. These cables are HDMI, Optical, and Auxiliary cables. 

Maybe these cables would be faulty or one of them. You should check all the cables one by one to know which one is faulty. 

If any of these cables is faulty then replace the defective cable. Because of that faulty cable may be your Bose soundbar is not working with Samsung TV.

Check connections

Update Bose soundbar firmware 

If the Bose Soundbar does not work with Samsung TV, it has an outdated firmware version. You should download the new version of the firmware in your Bose soundbar. After the upgrade of the new version of the soundbar, it fixes all the bugs. 

Follow the steps below to update your Bose soundbar firmware.

  1. Take up the remote of the Bose soundbar, and press and hold the Music button for 15 seconds. 
  2. You can locate the Music button left side of the TV button on the remote. 
  3. The white light will be blinking on the indicator of the Soundbar after 15 seconds. 
  4. Now the Bose soundbar will start to download the new version of the firmware. 
  5. After downloading the latest version of the firmware it is automatically installed in the soundbar. 
  6. In the last, the soundbar will reboot after installing the latest software.

Reset TV 

You should try your Bose soundbar with another TV. If it is working with another TV then we can say the problem is with your Samsung TV. Therefore, to fix your Samsung TV you should reset it.
